Tracey Saia LPAT, MS, ATR-BC, ATCS
I am an art psychotherapist with over 24 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free therapeutic environment to explore challenging life situations, as well as the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that arise from them. Therapy can be intimidating for some, but as part of a team, we will identify goals and work together to achieve transformation through verbal and visual processing.
My expertise lies in delicately addressing the challenges in strained relationships, such as domestic violence, divorce, anxiety, depression, family and marital conflicts. I recognize the emotions and physical discomfort these challenges impose, and I'm committed to offering my support as we navigate these difficult challenges together. With over 24 years of experience working in non-profit and community based programs, in addition to private practice, I am adept in understanding and nurturing human connections.
My background in psychology, combined with my personal experiences, uniquely qualifies me to understand your wants, needs, and potential. Art therapy enables you to see your abstract thoughts and emotions in a more tangible way, facilitating forward movement. My aim is to help you recognize your worth and pursue the path you desire for yourself. When words alone aren't sufficient or seem difficult to express, we use art to convey what cannot be verbalized. Art therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. This modality is employed in various ways with different populations, and sessions are tailored to help identify and explore concepts that might be constrained or rationalized by words alone.
For me, one of the most rewarding professional experiences is working with people who are ready to make a change and start living the life they desire. Individuals who recognize they are not reaching their full potential and are eager to take action are my ideal clients.
